Operation Monton

During March and April 2016, my 4th and final year at Abertay University, I was afforded the opportunity to work on an on-going murder investigation by my 'Advanced Forensic Psychology' tutor, Dr Penny Woolnough.

Dr Woolnough was approached by Police Scotland to assist in providing support to a long-term murder investigation, led by Norfolk Constabulary.  The case related to the headless body of a woman found in Norfolk in 1974.

We were to undertake a review of newsprint media coverage in the Dundee area between 01/06/1973 and 01/06/1975 to identify any females reported missing at that time and connect other murders and/or incidents which may provide a link to the case.
